Utilizing advanced sensor technology that is a hallmark of all Ninestars trash cans, this durable trash can opens automatically when your hand or debris is within ten inches or a 130° angle from the infrared sensor. The lid will remain open as long as the hand or debris is within range, and will close automatically three seconds after the hand moves away. With a battery life of up to six months under normal daily usage, the trash can also includes a ring liner to discreetly hold the trash bag, maintaining a tidy and clean appearance. Please note that the previous model, which utilized 4 D batteries, has been discontinued. The current model requires 3 C batteries for operation, which are not included. The water-resistant infrared motion sensor safeguards against moisture and accidental spills, while the fingerprint-resistant stainless steel base ensures easy cleaning. Advanced delay sensing technology conserves battery life and prevents unintended openings by pets, children, or passersby. Additionally, the soft-closing function extends the product's longevity. For optimal performance, it is recommended to use alkaline batteries with the trash can.
